As of Sept 2007 Mr. Arslanouk joined du and lead several initiatives in business development with focus on partnerships with key UAE market players. Public WiFi on Dubai Metro and relationship with real estate master developers was some of his key initiatives. He is currently focusing on mobile payment.

Remy de Tonnac is the CEO of Inside Contactless, the world leader semiconductor supplier for secure contactless cards and NFC microprocessor chips. Prior to that he was a Partner at VERTEX Management a leading Venture capital fund and was on the board of several technology and services companies of the VERTEX portfolio. Before that , Remy de Tonnac was with GEMPLUS (now Gemalto) the world leader for smart card technology, as a member of the executive committee of the group and as Chief Executive Officer of Asian operations based in Singapore, from 1991 to 1998, and of Americas operations in San Francisco till 2001.

Michael Hegenbarth joined Bundesdruckerei in September 2005 and serves as Senior Director Standardization and Consulting. Previously, Mr. Hegenbarth was Senior Director for Standardization and Business Relations with the company Infineon Technologies AG. He is one of the original developers of communication security technics based on chipcards and used in today’s digital signature applications. Since 1986 he has been active as chairman and delegate in various groups of the international card standardization in ISO/IEC, CEN and ETSI.




Paul Korczak

Paul Korczak is Assistant Chief Officer of MetroCard Sales Operations for MTA New York City Transit. He is responsible for managing $2.0 billion in MetroCard sales at vending machines, retail outlets, and transit benefits. Mr. Korczak led the task force for developing the automated vending machines program for NYCT. In 1998, Paul established the sales operations division to support roll-out of and customer service for machine sales and begin first-ever acceptance of bank payments in an automated vending environment. Mr. Korczak has spoken on automatic fare collection and contactless payments widely, including at the Federal Reserve Bank and APTA.




Carlo Maria Medaglia

Since 1999, Prof. Carlo Maria Medaglia has been working at several international research institutions around the world as ISAC-CNR (Institute for Atmospheric Sciences and Climate), NASA (National Atmospheric and Space Administration), ESA (European Space Agency), NOA (National Observatory of Athens) and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). Prof. Medaglia is currently is working as consultant in the RFID/Wireless Group of the CNIPA (National Center for Informatics in the Public Administration), as full professor at Mass Communication- Computer Sciences Department of University of Rome "Sapienza" and as director of the research Labs at CATTID.

Sertac Özinal is Chief Executive Officer of BKM. As of 2004. BKM, Interbank Card Centre of Turkey carry out the authorization operation between the banks, domestic clearing and settlement of debit and credit card transactions. Before taking up his present role, Mr. Ozinal was Vice President of Retail Banking, Pamukbank. He joined Pamukbank in 1993 where he was promoted to Marketing Vice President in 1995. He was also responsible for the selling of retail banking products through all Pamukbank's delivery channels. From 1988 to 1993 he worked for Andersen Consulting, in the Chicago and Istanbul Offices as Financial Services Senior Consultant.

Kurt Schmid has more than 25 year of business experience in the Security, Smart Card and RFID industry: He is co-founder and CEO of NEXPERTS, a solutions provider using NFC and mobile phones for tracing and tracking, m-marketing, m-payment, m-ticketing and couponing. Before NEXPERTS, Mr. Schmid was CEO of OMNIKEY, a company he grew to one of the world's top three players in the smart card reader business. Previously Mr. Schmid worked as CTO at Utimaco Safeware AG, a security and encryption specialist, listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Koichi Tagawa is the General Manager of Global Standards and Industry Relations Department in the FeliCa Business Division of Sony Corporation. He has more than 30 years experience in Sony and has been in key management positions from R&D to business units. He has also provided his expertise on industry standards body such as the DVD Forum where he continues to serve as the Vice Chairman. He actively contributed to establish the NFC Forum and has served as the vice chairman since its birth in 2004. And, was appointed as Chairman in September, 2008. In his ongoing role as Chairman of the NFC forum he continues to contribute to the enhancement of the NFC Eco-system, as well as to the growth of the NFC industry.
